Packed up our food and left in a hurry. We were seated less than feet apart from a table with I counted guests. Restaurant was packed for dinner and we did not feel safe at all. I’m a physician and throughout the pandemic, we have continued to dine out at restaurants in NYC and elsewhere that were following Covid guidelines. However, the situation at this restaurant was ridiculous. The owner insisted that we not pay for our meal after I pointed out obvious noncompliance with seating capacity regulations. The food was standard. The service was quick, but they forgot to give us our drinks, and when we reminded our server, we were charged twice. The ambiance may have been pleasant in nonpandemic times

We have been coming here since they opened and it just gets better. This small unassuming restaurant has an ambiance that serves so many occasions. Casual date night, cozy dinner, great spot to catch up with girlfriends. I’ve held business lunches here, hosted my aging parents and used it as a before theater spot too. Last night we loved the burrata salad and I had the bouillabaisse special. My gluten free husband usually gets the steak and pomme frites. The Plates Manhattan was so good I had Definitely give this spot a try. You’ll be happy you did

Same excellent quality of food. But the interior is getting old and not well kept. table veneer is peeling off and the bathroom is not the cleanest.
